Terry Garberg

Terry spent the first half of her career in sales for the telecommunications industry, switching gears in 2002 to fulfill a passion for pets when she founded a pet food distribution company with the goal of bringing healthful pet foods and treats to the Kansas City area.  By 2017, when she sold the company to a national distributor, it employed 30 people and was serving customers in six states, with a warehouse in Olathe and a second one in Houston.

Now retired, Terry volunteers for several non-profit organizations in addition to Fix ‘Em KC, including Pawsperity, KC Campus for Animal Care, KC Retired Greyhounds as Pets, and The Pet Resource Center.  She is passionate about the humane treatment of all animals, and still studies and advocates for better pet nutrition.

Terry lives in Prairie Village along with her most recent ‘foster-failure’ greyhound, and a very busy corgi/cattle dog mix.
