Bev Mettlen

Bev began her involvement in animal rescue in 2011 when a local news channel covered a story of a dog set on fire in the Kansas City area. The black lab survived with the help of a rescue group and was renamed Phoenix. Since then, she has volunteered as a dog walker and vet clinic helper at several rescue groups.

She also supports rescue groups by attending or working on fundraising events and has served on the Board of Friends of KC Animals for the past several years. Retiring from AT&T as a Technical Support Manager in 2019, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and Grand dog Liberty.
